Rose Finnerty is a senior studying journalism, who has been working as Event Coordinator at the Women’s Center for a little more than a year. This year, Rose planned Love Your Body Day, which was held on Oct. 20, 2010.

Rose is actively involved on campus as a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America and OU’s student-run public relations firm, ImPRessions. Rose will graduate at the end of Fall Quarter, and she interested in public relations and event planning, as well as women’s and gender studies and sociology. Rose hopes to move to New York City after she graduates and to work at a public relations agency. “I interned there this summer and absolutely loved it,” she said.

Rose also said she loves working at the Women’s Center because of the comfortable atmosphere and great programming, and that her favorite Women’s Center event is Love Your Body Day (although she does admit that planning the event had some influence!). In her free time, Rose enjoys reading, movies and art.

Rose’s fun fact: She and her younger sister share the same birthday.
